Entry prices on each billing basis

Placester prints a monthly and an annual price on each card: Agent Essential is $59 a month or $566 billed annually, a 20% discount for annual billing. The subscription cost is not refundable.

Real Geeks prices one platform by commitment term: $599 a month on 6 months, $399 on 12 months and about $333 a month billed annually at $3,990, each with a $500 one-time setup fee. Compare annual with annual: Placester Essential at $566 against Real Geeks at $3,990 plus $500 setup. Real Geeks' monthly price changes with the term you choose.

Over 36 months, as computations and not vendor prices, Placester Essential with one IDX integration is 3 x $566 + 36 x $25 = $2,598 on annual billing. Real Geeks with one IDX feed is $500 + 3 x $3,990 + 3 x $120 = $12,830 on the annual term. AgentFire's Ignite with Pro is $800 + 36 x $165 = $6,740. MLS fees and add-ons are not counted.

IDX fees and MLS charges

Placester charges $25 a month for each approved IDX integration, whichever plan. The MLS access fee is separate, and Placester's help center says MLS approval typically takes up to 10 business days. Real Geeks charges $10 per board a month, and AgentFire includes built-in IDX with MLS pass-through fees (charges some MLSs make for data access) on the client. Approval and fees follow your MLS's own rules, and this is not legal advice.

Teams, users and lead packages

Placester's Team plan is $199 a month, and its FAQ says its subscriptions include 10, 25 and 100 agent seats. Real Geeks includes two users, then charges $25 each for users 3 to 10 and $10 each for users 11 to 40.

Real Geeks sells lead packages as paid advertising. On its 12-month term, Social Lead Packages are $299 per package a month and Search and Seller Lead Packages are $599 each, and the page says lead numbers are tied to your market tier.

Where AgentFire fits between them

AgentFire sits between the two on price and takes the build off the agent: $800 for Ignite setup, then $165 a month on Pro, monthly billing only. Its FAQ says there is no long-term contract, beside a setup fee due at sign-up and a site that goes down on canceling. Its design and technology cannot move to another provider.

A newly licensed agent on a tight budget can start Placester's trial without a card and build the site; one who already has a WordPress site can add Showcase IDX instead. An agent who wants the site designed fits AgentFire, and a team buying leads fits Real Geeks. Read AgentFire vs Placester, AgentFire vs Real Geeks and Placester alternatives for each pairing.
