Placester alternatives: five agent website options priced

Last reviewed October 29, 2026

Quick answerIf you want the site built for you rather than by you, price AgentFire: $800 setup and $165 a month with IDX included. For IDX on a WordPress site, Showcase IDX; for paid lead packages, Real Geeks.

Placester alternatives at a glance

The main Placester alternatives for an agent who wants the site built for them are AgentFire, Real Geeks and iHomefinder's hosted site. Showcase IDX and IDX Broker add IDX (Internet Data Exchange) to a site you already run. IDX is the feed that shows MLS (multiple listing service) listings on your own site.

AgentFire: a designed site with IDX included

Placester has you build the site with an AI builder. AgentFire builds it: you submit onboarding materials, and Ignite includes two rounds of revisions. Ignite is $800 one-time setup; the Pro plan is $165 a month and Plus is $215, billed monthly only.

AgentFire includes built-in IDX with every site, but a pricing-page footnote leaves MLS pass-through fees out of that, and combining boards costs extra. Placester charges $25 a month for each IDX on top of its plan.

Over 36 months, Placester Agent Essential with one IDX adds up to 36 x $59 + 36 x $25 = $3,024 on monthly billing, before the MLS's own access fee and any Placester setup service, while AgentFire's Ignite with Pro comes to $800 + 36 x $165 = $6,740 before MLS pass-through fees. Both are computations, not vendor prices. AgentFire vs Placester covers the build routes.

Showcase IDX and IDX Broker for a site you already run

Showcase IDX and IDX Broker on Core and Engage are add-ons, not websites. Showcase IDX is a WordPress plugin: Essentials is $94.95 a month or $849.50 a year, with no setup fees or long-term contracts. IDX Broker Core is $60 a month and Engage is $99; each plan carries a one-time setup fee given only on request. IDX Broker Elite, at $149 a month, adds a hosted, professionally designed website.

Approval times differ by vendor. Showcase IDX says approval usually takes 1 to 5 business days; Placester's help center says IDX approval by your MLS typically takes up to 10 business days.

Real Geeks and iHomefinder for lead-focused platforms

Real Geeks is $399 a month on a 12-month term plus a $500 one-time setup, with 2 users and IDX feeds at $10 per board a month. Its lead packages are paid advertising, and the page ties the number of leads to your market tier.

iHomefinder prints no plan price; its page says a 10-minute call gets you the number. Its plans are Lead Essentials (1 agent, 1 MLS feed), Lead Maximizer (up to 7 agents) and Growth Pro (10 agents, unlimited MLSs). On Lead Essentials a hosted website is an add-on at $50 a month plus $500 setup; extra MLSs are $25 a month for one agent and $50 for two or more.

Placester's pricing header lists a 14-day free trial, longer than Showcase IDX's 10-day trial. AgentFire, Real Geeks and iHomefinder list none.

What Placester itself charges for IDX and setup help

Placester's IDX support fee is $25 a month for each approved IDX integration, charged once the IDX contract is approved, and the MLS's own access fee is separate. Agent Essential lists a single MLS integration; Agent Plus, at $79 a month or $758 billed annually, and the plans above it list unlimited MLS integrations.

Placester also lists a Do It For Me service from $75 a month and three setup services: Professional Setup, Express Setup and Custom Setup, whose scope and prices sit on Placester's own setup pages. Placester vs Real Geeks sets those two platforms side by side, and AgentFire alternatives lists the wider field.
