AgentFire IDX: what is included
AgentFire IDX (Internet Data Exchange), called AF IDX, is built into every AgentFire site, as read on October 29, 2026. The pricing FAQ puts IDX integration inside the base $165 monthly fee, and the Terms say AF IDX takes its MLS (multiple listing service) data from Home Junction Inc.
AgentFire's pricing page says "Built in IDX is included with every AgentFire website," and its footnote says IDX fees do not include MLS pass-through fees. The IDX FAQ adds that extra charges apply when boards are combined.
| IDX item | What AgentFire says | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Built-in IDX | AF IDX is the default feed on every site | Included in the base $165 monthly fee |
| MLS pass-through fee | Paid by the client, board by board | $7.00, $10.00 or $33.19 a month on three board pages |
| Combining boards | Commingling (several boards in one feed) can be switched on | Extra charges apply; amount not printed |
| Bring your own IDX | Use RealScout, Ruuster or Showcase IDX instead of AF IDX | Third-party IDX fees and compliance are yours |
| Switching IDX | Listed on the help-desk rate list | $100 to $150 |

Try AgentFire →MLS pass-through fees by board
An MLS pass-through fee is a charge some MLSs make to vendors for data access, passed on to the customer; AgentFire's Terms put it on the client. Its board pages print $7.00 a month for California Regional Multiple Listing Service, $10.00 for Canopy MLS and $33.19 for Northwest MLS. Bright MLS, Stellar MLS and MLSListings print no fee block, which does not mean no fee, so ask AgentFire in writing.
Coverage: finding your MLS on AgentFire's list
AgentFire's coverage page lists boards by name. Search by MLS name, association name or major city, and treat a board as covered only if it is listed. In our count on October 29, 2026, the page had 493 entries, 479 tagged AgentFire IDX and 14 tagged Showcase IDX only. On a Showcase-only board, Showcase's own plan and terms apply; ask AgentFire in writing what you pay.
AgentFire's checkout says it refunds in full if your MLS turns out not to be covered and you do not go ahead. AgentFire tags seven MLS Property Information Network entries Quick Approval but documents no approval time; Placester says up to 10 business days and Showcase IDX usually 1 to 5 business days.
NAR's 2023 handbook says an MLS must act on an IDX feed request within five business days, with exceptions. Check your own MLS's rules first; this is not legal advice.
Limits: filters, alerts and customization
AgentFire's IDX FAQ says customization is limited for compliance and technical reasons. Search filters follow each MLS's data. Listing alert emails cannot be customized past contact information, and existing leads cannot be bulk imported with their alerts. Buyer compensation cannot appear on any MLS-fed listing, and an undated help article calls AgentFire IDX a beta.
The FAQ reminds owners not to use search restrictions to violate the Fair Housing Act. HUD's rule at 24 CFR 100.75 covers discriminatory housing notices, statements and advertisements. This is not legal advice.
AgentFire IDX and search rankings
The tour says Listings Hub pages bring a search benefit; the help desk says IDX property pages often struggle to rank and be indexed. The help desk adds that Google generally sees IDX pages as thin content and advises adding SEO-friendly material of your own beside them. No ranking is promised.
Pick AgentFire IDX when your board carries its tag and you want IDX inside a site AgentFire builds. Pick Showcase IDX for a Showcase-only board, or Placester for a self-built site with IDX at $25 a month.
