AgentFire vs Showcase IDX: a built site or a WordPress IDX plugin

AgentFire vs Showcase IDX: the short answer

Showcase IDX adds IDX (Internet Data Exchange) search of your MLS (multiple listing service) listings to a WordPress site you already run, from $94.95 a month on Essentials, with a 10-day trial and no setup fee. AgentFire builds and hosts the whole site, IDX included, from an $800 one-time setup fee and $165 a month on Pro, as read on October 29, 2026.

A full website or an IDX plugin for your own site

Showcase IDX calls itself an IDX plugin for WordPress websites. It runs on your own domain and never uses a subdomain or an iframe. The site, its theme, its hosting and any developer are yours to supply and sit outside Showcase's plan price. AgentFire hosts the finished site on its own servers, and its Terms say it cannot move to a third-party host.

AgentFire's IDX FAQ says customization of its IDX is limited, an undated help article comparing the two calls AgentFire IDX beta, and AgentFire recommends using only one IDX tool on a site.

Monthly, yearly and MLS pass-through costs

Showcase IDX bills Essentials at $94.95 a month or $849.50 a year, and Premium at $124.95 a month or $1,195 a year. AgentFire bills monthly only. The prices are not like for like: Showcase is the IDX layer, while AgentFire's price also covers design, hosting and support.

Over 36 months, as computations and not vendor prices, Showcase Essentials is 36 x $94.95 = $3,418.20 monthly or 3 x $849.50 = $2,548.50 yearly, and Premium is 36 x $124.95 = $4,498.20 or 3 x $1,195 = $3,585. Ignite with Pro on AgentFire totals $6,740 ($800 setup plus 36 payments of $165). No total includes MLS fees, and the Showcase totals leave out the WordPress site itself.

Showcase says its MLS pass-through fee (a charge some MLSs make to vendors for data access) typically ranges from $0 to $33 a month, and that it charges none if none is required. Its page says approval usually takes 1 to 5 business days, and its plugin page says the trial with live data starts once the MLS approves. Your MLS's own rules govern approval and fees; this is not legal advice.

Where AgentFire's coverage page lists Showcase IDX

Showcase IDX is one of three bring-your-own IDX options AgentFire supports, with RealScout and Ruuster. Its coverage page tags each board entry with AgentFire IDX, Showcase IDX or both. By a count of the entries on October 29, 2026, 14 of 493 list Showcase IDX only.

On boards that list only Showcase IDX, Showcase's own plan and terms apply; ask AgentFire in writing what you pay, since its Terms put third-party IDX fees on the client. See AgentFire IDX for how its own feed works.

Which agent should pick each

Pick Showcase IDX if you already run a WordPress site and want IDX search at a lower monthly cost than AgentFire, with a trial first. Pick AgentFire if you have no site and want one designed, hosted and supported. For a newly licensed agent on a tight budget, a WordPress site already in place makes the plugin the cheaper path; with none, the plugin leaves the design and hosting to find.

Pick IDX Broker for month-to-month IDX from $60 a month. AgentFire vs IDX Broker sets it beside AgentFire, and best IDX website for real estate agents compares more routes.
